Gossiping about economic matters is often reserved for ordinary people, surrounded by participants who are inclined to repeat old-fashioned meta-narratives. However, true understanding comes from keen observation, which is fundamental to targeted discussions. The quality of such observation is significantly enhanced by experience.
My own journey in finance has leaned more towards the practical than the theoretical, balancing the act of trading derivatives on one side with the intricate task of deciding on monetary policy rates on the other. Among the highlights of this journey was my time at the Central Bank of Turkey, where I had the privilege of working with some of the most intelligent experts in the country. This experience was not only exhilarating but also immensely educational. As my journey in the financial world continues, I find myself eager to share the insights and knowledge I have gained, hoping to enlighten others as I have been enlightened along the way.
